Roosevelt is also the Graphic Art Communications Instructor at Lawson State Community College. Since arriving on campus in September of 2007, Roosevelt has sought to encourage and inspire students to achieve academic and artistic excellence. As a result, the Graphic Art Communications department has grown numerically, and Roosevelt’s students are excelling on every level. For five consecutive years, Graphic Art students from Lawson State have won first place in a national competition at The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Koronisfest PSA poster, live action, and animation competition. This annual creative competition is designed to highlight and bring awareness to public health issues.
Most recently, Roosevelt was chosen to represent Lawson State Community College as Technical Faculty of the Year.
